Pedro Zevallos, Co-Portfolio Manager for Dalton Investment’s Global Emerging Markets Equities Strategy, was recently quoted in Forbes, discussing investing in China. “We look at the intrinsic risk of a company when investing in China’s A-shares. You need to know the Chinese management team to make sure there is an alignment of interests there before investing. If things go wrong for the manager or for the company, we want it to hurt him and the business as much as it is going to hurt us as investors,” Zevallos says.
